PMGZ

AVAL Serviços Tecnológicas is a partner in the Zebu Genetic Improvement Program (PMGZ), approved by ABCZ (Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders). Currently, the program controls around 3,600 herds of all zebu breeds throughout the national territory through its three zootechnical tests: Weight Development Control – (CDP), Weight Gain Tests – (PGP) and Dairy Control – (CL). The real-time ultrasound technique is used to estimate the growth of certain tissues, such as fat and muscles, and thus help predict the composition of the animal carcass. Its use in the evaluation of characteristics allows us to obtain quantitative and qualitative information about carcasses, which are fundamental in the meat industry, with the aim of improving the quality of the final product.
