Aval evaluates the performance characteristics and carcass finish (ultrasound images for rib eye area and subcutaneous fat thickness) of the animals participating in the Nelore Bull Individual Performance Test. The objective of this evaluation is to identify genetically superior animals for characteristics of economic interest, adapted to the breeding conditions and savanna biome, where there is great demand from the Brazilian livestock market for young Nelore bulls with proven productivity potential.

This partnership began in 2011 and the evaluations are carried out at the Capim Branco Experimental Farm at the Federal University of Uberlândia, which is the technological showcase of the Sustainable Livestock program, Nelore do Portal do Cerrado.

This partnership extended in 2015 when the Senepol bull feed efficiency test began using the growsafe system, where AVAL carries out the evaluation of these animals participating in this test.
